Don’t sleep on this place! I ordered Door Dash from here because I wanted pasta and my kids wanted pizza. I thought it was going to be another average Italian place. I was so wrong. The kids said the pizza was “Bussin” and my lasagna was so delicious. They didn’t skimp on the meat sauce and cheese. The sauce was not your regular sauce out of a jar. I’m sorry I haven’t eaten here sooner! This is definitely a little hidden gem of Hagerstown!
The food was fresh and delicious. I found this place on Tripadvisor as highly recommended in the area, and I can see why. Whenever I am in the area I will be sure to stop here. Small inside only a few tables, but still comfortable. A lot of takeout orders while we were there.
Food critic, Hagerstown Eats posted about Dolce so I thought we would give it a try. I am all about supporting local restaurants. Homie vibe, very comforting. Immediately they serve you with fresh warm bread. We couldn’t decide so we split lasagna & cheese steak with the works. Best Cheese steak in town. Very flavorful, fresh bread. If you’re anything like me the bread is what makes a sub. The lasagna was very tasty, sauce was amazing & I really think the noodle was homemade. (If it wasn’t it sure tasted like it) then I told the young ladies about the video about Dolce. She said do you know we have homemade doughnuts & it is another thing we are known for. I immediately said sure I will try them. And omg were they amazing. Can’t wait to try the pizza, and Julia stuffed cabbage, & Moussaka. 5stars all the way, and I will be sharing my experience. Service was also great, the girls definitely seem to get along well. They were a great team together. It showed! We will be back!
Been wanting to come here for a while and made the effort tonight. Well worth it. Small, quaint little place but busy on a Monday night. The menu was huge and I settled for Moussaka which was absolutely delicious. Came with with a small fresh garden salad and very good garlic bread. Should not have eaten it all. Wife had the chicken Alfredo. Dessert was offered as these fresh, homemade powdered sugar donut bites. We will return....
30Jan.2024 This(I can finally say, after reading someone’s review about a place)is a hidden gem. From the service to the food to the owner(not in that order). The vibes in this place are so awesome and welcoming. It makes you want to be here everyday. The owner and the crew fam are so wonderful. Service is super prompt and reasonable prices. The cannoli’s are a decent size and delicious. Haven’t eaten the tiramisu (took it home) and it looks so good. The house bread has the best crisp on the outside and excellent moist texture inside and pipping hot. I must say this is a true hidden gem of Hagerstown. I’m glad me and my family found this spot. We will be back to order and eat here more.
Stopped by after a ski trip. It is a small shop that was renovated from a single family house. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. The food is delicious. Although the name is eastern European food, a large portion of their menu is still Italian. But they did it well anyway. We tried pigs in a blanket, chicken masala, speciality pizza and vegetarian stromboli. The first two dishes are my favorite, especially the pigs in a blanket. It tastes very homey like granny used to make them. Chicken masala is creamy but not overwhelmingly fatty. The crust on pizza and stromboli are also very good. I like their red sauce the best. None of the Italian dishes are too salty at all which is the best part. Their home made donuts are good, like funnel cakes. I don't think it is spectacular though. Overall, this is a super pleasant random pick and will do it again next time I go to white tail.
My first time in got take out however dining area is beautifully set up. They smell inside when I stepped in. I knew it was going to be a treat. I chose the lasagna special. The garlic bread is outstanding and I sure hope the delicious sauce is something that is carried through all the dishes outstanding I got halfway through the meal and realized there was no ricotta cheese in the lasagna. Something I’m used to however it really wasn’t missing Because of the freshness and that sauce so meaty it didn’t matter. I cannot wait to return because I’ve been looking for cabbage rolls and that is on my next to try. I would like to also thank the folks there that were unbelievably kind and helpful. I have trouble walking and they helped me get to my car and carried my food for me. I’m real big on customer service and this is why I like to frequent small businesses. Great place all around!
I was surprised with a very good Chef Salad this evening my family had ordered without my knowledge, and had delivered. It was a large enough size with the lettuce cut up into bite sized pieces (of which was also appreciated by my elderly grandmother whom thought made it easy to handle.) Yummy honey mustard dressing They said the steak and cheese sub is great as well!! My first time, and won't be the last!!!!
